With Kyle still suffering a broken thumb, its up to Lee and Simone to have a game off!
Lee is building his house in Minecraft, and getting distracted with the mining part. Simone is becoming a city planner in Cities: Skylines. It seems this is the week for building!
But thats not all - Lee has jumped into the Ghost Recon: Breakpoint beta and has an interesting review of it while Simone has discovered the awesome Creature in the Wall, thanks to Game Pass. And Kyle even has some thoughts on it.

After a week off, Lee has his husky voice on. We hope you like it.
Since we missed the last week's episode, we have a lot to update you guys on. From watching the Game Play charts jump around - thanks to the monster that is Gears 5 - to testing out the latest update of the Xbox dashboard. Then we have realistic fishing sims creeping up on us to boot. What a wild ride.

Gears POP! has exploded onto the scene with over a million players in just a week.
But already the servers are experiencing some issues...

Telltale is back, sorta. Forza 6 is driving into the sunset. Capcom has a new Resident Evil game coming. And Forza Horizon 4 celebrates 12 million players!
For the new games, we have Gears 5 leading the charge in big names (and have you seen those review scores!), Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is a blast from the past, Monster Hunter: World goes frosty in Iceborne, NBA 2K20 shoots some hoops and Creature in the Well pinballs its way on your Xbox and into our hearts.

This past week was an absolute cracker of a week for new game releases, with something for everyone! Want to get the pants scared off you? Try Blair Witch. Want to go back to the good ole days of Alan Wake and Quantum Break? Well Control has you covered. And thats only 2. So many more came out this week, we cant keep track of everything!
Australia is banning We Happy Few (again). It seems like they have a problem over there. Gears Tactics coming to Xbox confirmed! Game Pass might be coming to all platforms. And prepare to jump into the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne beta.

You can now build computers on your Xbox. We truly are living in the future!
PC Building Simulator has arrived on Xbox this week, to make all your virtual dream PC's come to life.
Slay The Spire arrives and jumps straight onto GamePass. We have it on good authority that this may even be GotY... If you like rougelikes that is. If they are not your thing, maybe try a duck that bends gravity to its will? Or Stellaris's new expansion - Utopia!
On the news side, things take a dramitic turn. Twitch is in hot water, for the umpteenth time this year, after turning Ninja's page into an advertisers nightmare. Phil Spencer thinks Mixer Pro being added to GamePass Ultimate makes perfect sense. Kotaku decides to burn the rest of its bridges with all gamers by telling them they aren't playing games right. And in what might be the biggest twist of the year, it seems that Death Stranding might be coming to Xbox!

We're continuing with out #back2YourBacklog challenge - well Lee isn't. But Kyle and Simone are! What are you playing to help clear your backlog this August? Kyle is still stuck on Mass Effect: Andromeda, but managed to sneak some Rocket League in. Simone is dealing to zeds in State of Decay 2, and even has a quick Stardew Valley update for us!
And Lee? Well he's just playing everything, but his most recent obsession is The Ashes. A game about cricket. A game that kept him up till 3 the next morning!

Back to normal programming! And the GamePlay charts are looking extremely underwhelming...
The biggest news this week is Ninja moving to Mixer! It has sent shock waves through the streaming community and a massive win for Microsoft. We look forward to what the future holds. But for now, we're happy to see Mixer in the limelight.
GamePass adds new games, Games with Gold revealed which games we can look forward to in August, and No Man's Sky is getting another massive update. New games arrive this week with Planetfall from Paradox Interactive leading the charge, and the US President in a mech suit? Yeah, its one of those weeks!

Fortnite World Champs, Doom being pulled from backwards compatibility and Xbox Home Screen re-designs are coming! The news is exciting this week! As for new games - Madden 20 charges in, while Mutant Year Zero gets its first expansion. And Simone even knows what teenage friends look like!
