Its the show you've been waiting for. The last official episode of the year and we're presenting the 3rd annual Xboxcast Game Awards!
Like any typical award show, the categories are made up and the points don't matter. With that in mind we don't have a clear winner or loser, or even nominations. We go purely by personal preference. Because that way, we can't be wrong! Its a complete win-win situation.
Our categories are on our Patreon page and our Discord. Which means you can't blame us if yours didn't win. Or even get mentioned.
Thank you guys for listening. Its been a pleasure to have you along for the ride! We hope to see you all in 2020 with even better, funnier and many more stories about our gaming adventures. Or lack thereof.

We're gearing up for our very own Game Awards show! And you get to chime in.

Its been a really quiet week on the news front, with everyone holding off on end-of-year announcements till the televised Game Awards. But that wont stop us! From State of Decay 2 to Halo: Reach, we're talking about Microsoft games coming to Steam. Along with some really exciting Games with Gold news that we're sure will excite the 10 year old within us!
And then we have a massive list of games coming out this week. The biggest one being Halo: Reach! And the excitement is palpable. Often heralded as the second best Halo game, its now finally here and finally part of The Master Chief Collection. We couldn't be more excited! Neverwinter Nights comes back in an Enhanced Edition, Kerbals get more toys to play with in Kerbal Space Program's DLC - Breaking Ground and we're enthralled with Arise: A Simple Story. My Friend Pedro has also jumped on this hype train.

A little Star Wars game was released and our very favourite game reviewer has been playing it!
Thats right, Simone reviews Jedi: Fallen Order.
Lee managed to get into the West of Dead Beta and gives us his thoughts on that, which makes it sound harder than it is. It can't be that difficult, can it? Its not like its a Souls game...
Meanwhile, Kyle has decided to up his completion ratio. Why? We don't even know. But it did lead to getting 30 achievements in one Sunday, and even going back to the OG Destiny. You have never heard a happier Lee...
And apparently Old Man's Journey is better than ABZU according to the resident achievement hoarder... Which means, of course, we had to check it out. Can it live up to the hype?

The stores are starting to play Christmas music, so you know what that means?
Another 'Game Awards' show! And this time, you're invited to our party!
Xbox 360 and Xbox One had birthdays recently which leads us to ask "When will the 360 die?" Playground Games might have given us a glimpse into Fable 4, but all we can do is wait. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare seems to be divisive, and even more so with its new patch. And Logitech comes to the party with a toolkit for the Xbox Adaptive Controller. Good on ya, mate!
Golazo leads our new releases for what is a quiet week. Where The Water Tastes Like Wine has us enthralled with its art style, again! (It was pushed back for some reason) And Mowin' & Throwin' seems like an amazing party game you'll want to get your friends around for. Also, did you know Lee hates rhythm games? We didn't...

The one that made us famous!

The #purplePants are back! Simone gives us our much needed update on Stardew Valley and we're still amazed at how this game continues to exist. She's also played Jedi: Fallen Order and in a revelation might actually be able to play a Dark Souls type game... Find out what Simone and Kyle think about the latest Star Wars outing.
Lee has managed to win a copy of Need For Speed: Heat, only to find its not really the new hotness he was hoping for. What makes it so bad? No one knows...
And then ewe're back to the 'normalities' of Sea of Thieves and its treasure losing ways, getting spaced in The Outer Worlds and grinding up the Swarm in Gears 5, which all of us are slightly disappointed in...

Missed the how and why? You'll just have to listen...
And thats not even all! We covered XO19 which has been called "better than E3" and "exciting" and "bold". In fact one quote was even "you guys should totally listen to #theXboxcast because they are great!" And who are we to argue? Even if we did make up 90% of those quotes! It didn't stop us from having a special panel - made up of Kyle, Lee and Producer Paul - to go over all the excitement of XO19. So much news... Its almost too much.
But we still did some normal news and some normal nu-games!

Do you have the need? The need for speed? And can you stand the heat?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you're in luck - Need For Speed Heat comes out this week. And even better for you, we take apart the flow chart EA provides on ways you can play!
Blizzard unveils Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 while trying to take the heat off their pro-China scandal. Which would have worked if these games were coming any time soon... A Red Dead Redemption 2 feature ends up angering console gamers, and really, is it worth all the gnashing of teeth? We have some teases about Gears 6, which is nothing you didn't already know. And Xbox streaming to your phone is available to alpha testers! This is going to be awesome.
Need for Speed Heat races into our lives, but can it race into our heart? We'll have to pump the brakes on that one, until we can see for ourselves. In the mean time, why not boogie on down with Just Dance 2020, slay some dragons in The Elder Scrolls MMO, beat up your friends with Tanky Tanks and experience the thrills and chills in Football Game.

That it. Its all done. #terrorTober has come and gone. We can all return to normal heart rates again...
Without a doubt, Simone 'won' this years #terrorTober - she actually managed to finish her chosen game and get a little creeped out by it. Lee spent an hour with three games, and Kyle actually stuck around in Blair Witch for 12 hours, before nope-ing out of there. But how and why and what did we think of our games? You'll just have to listen to find out. Thanks to everyone else who took part and joined us in our time of need!
