Everything is being cancelled. And all the news that would have come out, hasn't!
So this is a very quiet week...
And what do we do with quiet weeks? Well we pad them out as much as possible! Thats right, non-stop nonsense from beginning to end as we try to find stuff to talk about.
The Xbox Series X allows you to resume games after a reboot - which has us even more hyped. Fortnite and GTA V are still leading our gameplay charts, more games leave Game Pass and we get two new special edition controllers.
Seriously, that it for news... For the new games, really only one is a standout, and that's an expansion to The Division 2 - Warlords of New York. Speaking of which, we have a clan in The Division 2. Kyle surrenders Outer Wilds for now, gets super confused in No Man's Sky, bumbles his way through The Division 2 and dives back into Tomb Raider. You know, the 2013 one...
Meanwhile, Lee plays The Division 2 and Black Flag. Looks like hes found something to stick with... Simone also dives into The Division 2 to join everyone else. Oh, and shes gone back to Dance Central Spotlight to bust a move! We should stream this at some point...

Its the Xbox Series X episode!
No, seriously, we have a bunch of news about the series X and you'll want to listen to our semi deep-dive into the hardware and what it means for you!
An ordinary Tuesday morning (Monday for our US peeps), got completely disrupted with Phil Spencer dropping a bomb. All the specs for the Series X was published in a blog post, and pretty much destroyed the internet. So of course this is our take on it. Oh, and other news happened too...
Sea of Thieves got yet another free update, which looks awesome.
No Man's Sky got another free update, which looks awesome.
The Xbox dashboard got another free update, which looks awesome!
PUBG got another free update, which enabled cross-play between Xbox and Playstation.

Ever wondered who could give Lee such a hard time? Introducing, Ruby - Lee's youngest daughter!
Ruby is a great Overwatch player - even beating her dad, and is starting to dip into game streaming and Let's Plays on YouTube! Now we finally find out who has been getting all of Lee's achievements - the truth comes out. No more day-time achievements for Lee since Ruby got her own Xbox. And he's a little bit gutted about it...

It is true, liquorice is nonsense!
I have spoken.
Get ready for more excitement in State of Decay 2 with the new Juggernaut Edition - new graphics, new story, new everything! This has put us into quite state! And you can now dress you peeps, so its Sims with Zombies... (Call us EA).
EA feels the need to give Criterion Games the Need For Speed franchise back, The Division 2 gets a great new expansion and we even have a clan in this game, so join us, and Kingdom Hearts is now on Xbox. Truly this is the best timeline.
If you ever wanted to race a drone, you now can in DCL - The Game, Bayonetta makes Lee feel a bit odd as it comes back for its 10th Anniversary Edition, and a game where you play a thief? I feel like thats been done? Or is it just me?

In a twist, Lee has played less games than Kyle this time!
Ghost Recon Break Point has sucked Lee in, and he's struggling to get out. Someone help him! Although the terminator event does sound exciting...
Simone and Kyle both played Slay the Spire, which is on Game Pass for PC and doesn't have achievements, so you can play it casually! Finally, a game that gets us! And it also happens to be a great game. Go, get it now! Its on Game Pass for Xbox and PC, so you have no excuse.
Kyle spent the last weekend starting and finishing Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and is blown away. Seriously, this game! Also, he started Outer Wilds, did achievement hunting in Forza and more. Its not often Kyle plays more than Lee, so we're giving him this small victory...

All the way from the land of drop-bears and bouncy boxers, Jeremy is back!
Jeremy was our very first Patreon, and without his support and belief in us, we probably wouldn't be nearly as 'good' as we are now. His feedback has helped shape the podcast over the years. Its a pleasure to have him as our first international guest.
Thanks to the wonders of Skype, and being alive at the same time, we get to hear his adventures in Seriko: Shadows Die Twice. Add to the fact that Jeremy and Simone then decided to play a cat dating simulator, and we have a very weird mix of whats happening in this reality. Oh, and we also chat about Forza Horizon 4... It seems young Jeremy has been busy.

It was a quiet week, then we happened...
Lee decides its time to troll Kyle with the Gameplay chart this week... But then its turned around with news that Bioware is officially redesigning Anthem! And the choir of angels all sing. New Zealand's game industry is growing every year. Seriously, well done guys! Xbox Game Pass gets more games added, and more games taken away. Game Pass giveth and taketh away.
In an offshoot, We have some Microsoft/Windows news because Lee decided it was so. And Xbox sells 38 consoles in Japan...
Our new games are sure to serve up a good time, starting with AO Tennis 2. And then we begin a very themed week with most of the games being some sort of space game. Is this space week or something? In an unprecedented move, we even announce a PC game! You'll just have to listen to find out why...

Can you tell we're a bit unorganized?
Because we totally aren't! We're on top of things! We promise...
Game play charts have not moved in a while, titles leaving Game Pass and Xbox Adaptive Controller is allowing wheelchairs to become Xbox Controllers! As you can tell, the news has no rhyme or reason this episode... We're just into everything from the get go. Quite a lot of news for the start of the year.
We even go over what games are coming soon for the Series X. Is that the hype train pulling into the station?
For new games we have a stoner Koala detective in a noir-like adventure, Pillars of Eternity II for all your RPG needs and take a trip to a strange planet in Journey to the Savage Planet. Monster Energy Supercross 3 comes out 2 weeks in a row (trust me, it makes sense) and an updated-almost-3D-remake of Snake! Now we can all be in the 90s again!
